Meet Peter Andrew (aka Creative Fingers)

My names are Peter Andrew Izedu, am from Edo state, south-south Nigeria, i am an Etsako man by tribe and a non-sectional Nigeria at heart. I am the first of eleven children, a Post Graduate Diploma Holder in Community Development from Bayero University Kano.

My journey into the make believe world of moving pictures started way back in the nineties. I started out in a movie captioned "Zuma Hard Way." The production was under the auspices of Danjay's Production, it was directed by Abubakar Yakub, a pioneering actor/director in todays' Nollywood and currently the National PRO of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN. The movie has prominent nollywood star like Rita Nzelu and a host of others. After that production my desire for movie making grew and as fate would have it i made my way to one of the best soap's of the nineties, "Checkmate." In Checkmate i worked alongsides some of the industry's best in all sphere. The director (Uncle Bolaji Dawudo) was a great influence in my quest for movie making knowledge, the production heads, (Amaka Igwe, Aunty Ene and the D.o.p (Lesile Yaor)) made movie making a pratical reality in my life. I actually stared in two episodes of the production. The initiation scene of the character Akpan (Tunde Ebu) into the Kukubalo cult and another scene at one thousand an four. After this two episode my relationship with the crew pave me in the make believe world.

My leaving Lagos in 1991 for kano in search for educational excellence took off what has now metamorphized into a big time money spinner. However, the thespian fire in me kept burning, thus i joined "Zakara Theatre and Films." At Zakara i took part in an Hausa movie captioned, "Duniya Salamalekum." Some years later, i acted in a soap owned by the state television authority CTV-Kano. I left in the production in 1998 for private practice after gaining valuable experience.

At this time indigeous movies was becoming an acceptable phenomeom in Nigeria, most of its tribes now produces it own movie but in my own dialect there was a vaccum created, to fill this vaccum i decided to produce in my dialect. Below are some of the movies i have written, produced and directed.

Elueomobe(Evildoers,1999), Erelumhe,(Retribution, Late 1999), Agbo Khua(Life is teribe,2001), Uyukor(He-goat,2002), Agbo Khua 2,Late 2002), Agbo Khor,(Is this Life? 2003), Agbo nhe de(Ways of the past,2009).

The movies could be gotten in from Afenmai music  and movie outlet nationwide, but if in need contacts us directly, your request will get to you within 72hours.

In the year 2006 i also wrote, co-produced and acted in "Asubahi" an Hausa movie shown severally on African magic. The movie stared some the Hausa industry great acts like Sani Danja, Amina Dumba, Kumurshi and Zainab Abubakar(Zeebaby). The movie was directed by A.G.M Bashir and i was the Asst.diretor.

In the English genre in kano, i started out as a director, i directed the "Joy of faith" and "Power of faith" for two religious producers in Kano. I later wrote, produced and directed my first English work, "Iron Will (2001)."

After completing my Post graduate course, i decided to come back fully into the industry. To this end, my production outfit has just produced a yet to be released movie, "Visit from the past." The movie will be released before the end of 2010. Right now, we are on location for a dramatic movie containing only four cast captioned, "In the Cloud."

In December 2009 i directed yoruba for Grace Place Picture Ltd, a yoruba movie-making and marketing oufit in Kano and the movie is yet to be released. We shall inform you as soon as it is released.
